APMP India Governing Board

The APMP India Governing Board plays an important role in the functioning of APMP India.

The overall charter for the Governing Board shall be as follows :

  • Provide overall strategy and guidance to APMP India
  • Provide strategic connects with corporates, Government and Industry associations
  • Review the plans and execution against objectives
  • Be mentors to specific chapters or initiatives of APMP India
  • Establish the Governance of the Board (including tenure, appointment )

APMP India has appointed the following people as part of the Governing Board :


Krishnakumar (KK) Iyer

KK comes with 28+ years of deep IT experience across India, USA, Australia and Singapore. He has worked with world class organizations like IBM, PriceWaterhouse Coopers, Siemens and Mastek. KK has performed in a wide spectrum of roles from large Client Account Management, Consulting, Technology Lead, Pre Sales and Organization Process Head. KK has led many large ERP and Outsourcing deals.KK is a member of the Board with Association of Proposal Management Professionals (www.apmp.org). KK is Certified at Practitioner level and is also a contributing author to APMP’s Body of Knowledge (BOK) and the APMP Journal.
KK loves travel, food and his weekly golf ‘fix’.


Aashish Sharma

Aashish Sharma is a seasoned technology executive with over two decades of global sales experience. His core expertise is in developing & executing go-to-market strategies and exceptional Customer management skills. He is also a high energy leader who manages & motivates global teams and is passionate about the impact of emerging disruptive technologies on society. He has been with Capgemini since 2004 and currently serves as Vice President, Head of Presales for the Applications Services business in Continental Europe.
Other than technology, Aashish’s passions are Yoga and Travel. He has been to 49 countries and blogs about his travel experiences at www.travelgeek.me.


Martin Eckstein

Martin has 30 years of presales experience across the world, managing major sales opportunities and developing and managing high performing presales teams. He has a career average win rate of above 1:2 and 1:1 for the last 7 deals.
This success is driven by his passion to drive bids correctly and by ensuring his team are lead to high performance.
He is passionate to identify the measurements in presales that result in the win and has develop models to predicting sales success and measuring the quality of a proposal, which is used as the standard measure within the organisation.
Whether he has been working in winning major sales campaigns, creating new presales teams or in taking a team through a major change the common factor has always been people. People make the difference between success and failure.
Outside of work, Martin uses his skills and experience to support charities by providing facilitated workshops to focus the stakeholders in achieving their goals.


Sandeep Date

Mr Sandeep Date is Head of Function (Proposal) at thyssenkrupp Industrial Solutions (India) Pvt Ltd. He is a Chemical Engineer and has diverse experience ranging from Proposal
management, Project Engineering, Technical Services & Plant operations in Chemical Process Industry.
thyssenkrupp Industrial Solutions (India) is one of the leading Indian Engineering, Procurement, Construction companies committed to providing entire range of services from concept to commissioning of process plants for the Petrochemical, Refinery, Metallurgy, Fertilizer and Chlor- Alkali industries in India and abroad. It is one the largest subsidiary of thyssenkrupp Industrial Solutions, Germany, a business area of thyssenkrupp AG.
Sandeep is responsible for Proposal Management of organisation’s Business Units–Fertilisers, Electrolysis & Polymers and SPC.  He has been with thyssenkrupp Industrial Solutions (India) for the last 14 years. He provides strategic inputs and direction to the team in order to secure new business by delivering competitive proposals. He has also been instrumental in business process improvement initiatives within organization.
Sandeep is also a director with Process Plant and Machinery Association of India (PPMAI), a not-for-profit association for the chemical process Industry in India, since 2015.
